FOTO/Analyst® Investigator Systems allow you to capture, manipulate, and store your laboratory data. Files can be archived in a variety of file formats (including TIFF, JPEG, BMP) for further analysis by optional TL-100 software or other analysis programs.
The Investigator lets you quickly and easily obtain hard copies of your images on high quality, low cost, thermal prints. The integration feature enables the acquisition of low light fluorescent gels, extending sensitivity to beyond that of conventional photography. As little as 0.1 ng of ethidium bromide-stained DNA can be detected.
FOTO/Analyst® Investigator systems are designed to be compatible with fully-loaded computers rather than stripped down versions dedicated for a single application. This means you can use one computer for analysis needs as well as for general spreadsheets, word processing and other functions.

Benchtop Workstations
FOTO/Analyst® Investigator Image Analysis Workstations are designed to let you not only acquire and store digital images, but also perform PC or Macintosh computer-based image analysis on them.
You can acquire low-light images such as ethidium bromide stained DNA gels with as little as 0.1 ng per band. You can save your images in a variety of file formats and store them on the hard drive or on diskette. You can also create high quality, inexpensive thermal or laser prints.
For PC users, all FOTO/Analyst® Investigator Systems include PC Image acquisition software. This software offers features such as background subtraction, integration, brightness, and contrast control. It also lets you invert, zoom, mirror, rotate, and annotate (date, time, text, circle, arrow) your images.
For more advanced analysis, take advantage of special workstation pricing on TL-100 software. This gel analysis software is used by scientists throughout the world.

FOTO/Analyst® Investigator Eclipse® Workstations feature the light-tight FOTO/Eclipse Benchtop Darkroom. This space-saving enclosure houses the CCD camera, zoom lens, transilluminator, and filters. A gliding transilluminator platform and side-opening door with interlock provide convenient and safe operation. Interior side lights allow easy focusing and even illumination of opaque samples such as blots. A convenient, front-loading filter holder allows simple exchange of filters when changing applications.
