Mini Single Cell Electrophoresis Chamber
Ideal for the teaching laboratory, the Mini Single Cell offers convenience,
safety, and economy.
Your students can pour leak-free mini gels (7.2 x 9.3 cm) in a unique UV-transparent gel tray that requires no messy taping. They can choose from one of the four well-forming combs provided to load gels with 6, 8, 10, or 12 samples. After electrophoresis, the gel tray can be perfectly positioned over the viewing surface of the FOTO/Phoresis® UV or White Light Transilluminator for visualization and photography.
The molded electrophoresis chamber requires only 150 ml of buffer, and is made of sturdy, clear acrylic, allowing students to monitor the run while in progress. The chamber is also constructed with convenient holders for storage of combs when not in use. An interlocking safety lid with attached leads ensures that power to the gel is disconnected when your students remove the lid, preventing accidental electrical exposure. Platinum electrodes provide a uniform, corrosion resistant, electrical field.

Mini Dual Cell Electrophoresis Chamber
The Mini Dual Cell Electrophoresis Chamber allows your students to run two mini gels in one electrophoresis chamber. It includes two UV transparent gel trays which are sealed with casting gates rather than tape. Also provided are eight combs for preparing 6, 8, 10, and 12-well gels. In addition, two acrylic centering blocks are included for running a single gel in the chamber.
The Dual Cell Chamber is constructed with durable, 1/4 inch clear acrylic which allows students to monitor the progress of their gels. A safety interlocking lid ensures power to the gel is disconnected when the lid is removed. Corrosion resistant platinum electrodes provide a uniform electric field.

Mini Vertical Cell (Single)
The rugged Mini Vertical Cell is a simple and fast vertical system for running a single acrylamide gel.
This system includes a set of 10 x 10 cm glass plates, permitting one 9 x 9 cm gel to be poured with less than 15 ml of gel solution. A super-soft silicone gasket assures a leak-proof seal. The Mini Vertical Cell requires a minimum of 100 mls of running buffer, and has an extended upper buffer chamber to allow even heat distribution across the entire gel to promote even banding.
The Mini Vertical Cell includes a safety lid and attached power cords. Casting accessory kit includes one glass plate, one 6-well comb, one 12-well comb, and one spacer (all 0.8 mm thick).

Mini Gel Tray
This no-tape tray fits either the Mini Single Cell or Dual Cell Electrophoresis Chamber. It is also designed to fit the FOTO/Phoresis® UV and White Light Transilluminators. Tray includes FOTODYNE's unique adjustable gates for trouble-free gel casting.
