If you are a high volume user of instant image film, the FOTO/Analyst®
MiniVisionary may be just what you're looking for. This new camera system
combines the state-of-the-art technology of a CCD video camera with the ease of fixed focus photographic hoods, and the economy of speedy 10˘ thermal prints.
To capture an image, simply place the CCD camera with hood and filter over your gel, adjust the camera aperture, adjust the exposure time on the
MiniVisionary Controller, and press "Print". No focusing is required.
In seconds the Thermal Printer provides you with a continuous-tone black and white print (256 gray scale quality). No waiting for film to develop. No messy processing chemicals. A copy feature on the Thermal Printer also allows you to quickly produce multiple copies of the same image for the entire class.
At about one-tenth the price, thermal prints are an inexpensive alternative to conventional instant photographic prints. If you're producing 100 prints per month, the Mini Visionary System can pay for itself in approximately 2 years.
